FROM AN IDEA BY ELETTRA LAMBORGHINI TO A LUMINOUS INSTALLATION FOR THE LARGE SCALE OF HER HOME
At Patrizia Volpato we care a lot about the quality of our creations.
Our vision of lighting is inspired by tradition and craftsmanship, well represented by the design of collections in the catalog which look to the past as at present , with an eye always to the future with technological solutions of which we are often precursors.
This combination of innovation and artisanal value is what distinguishes us and gives value to Patrizia Volpato's creations. Refined and elegant light furnishing elements elements that bring the Made in Venice in the world, under the guise by New Forms of Light.
It is this peculiarity of the Brand Patrizia Volpato that caught the attention of Elettra Lamborghini and gave rise to the desire to contact us for the creation of a tailor-made project dedicated to the large stairwell of his new home.
THE CREATIVE IDEA AND MANAGEMENT OF THE STRUCTURAL AND DESIGN CONSTRAINTS OF THE PROJECT FOR ELETTRA LAMBORGHINI
Each custom lighting project is always challenging because one of the essential prerogatives of the same is the character of uniqueness and value of the light element.
The design must take into account the design of the home and the architectural characteristics which may, in some cases, constitute structural obstacles for which the technical team must study application solutions innovative and in line with customer expectations.
Furthermore, the creation of a single ] chandelier or a set of lighting fixtures intended for large spaces or even separate environments, must have a coherent imprint and a common thread that creates harmony within of the House.
In the case of the project for Elettra Lamborghini , we found ourselves facing three constraints important:
- A structural architectural element – the dome-shaped skylight which floods the large staircase with natural light;
- The presence in the dwelling of other chandeliers and light points whose main theme is the sphere;
- The dimensions of the lighting body which extends for 9 meters along the 3 floors of the house.
These constraints have been an opportunity for challenge and a source of inspiration; our team put themselves to the test but the end result is something unique and memorable.
Before arriving at the actual installation, 6 months elapsed, with the use of over 2,000 hours of work and 30 people involved.
It all started from an idea of Elettra's , we gave it life. Your satisfaction is also ours and being able to achieve exactly what you had only imagined is a source of great enthusiasm for us.
LIGHTING ELEMENTS IN MURANO GLASS THAT TELL A STORY OF TRADITION COMBINED WITH MODERNITY AND TECHNOLOGY
In preferring Patrizia Volpato for the realization of the luminous suspension which dominates the space floating in the air along the large scale, Elettra has chosen also blown Venetian glass which is the precious characterizing element of our creations.
For this large installation 170 Murano blown glass spheres were used and 69 faceted crystal spheres.
Each single sphere has been carried out handcrafted in the laboratories of our master glassmakers who have handed down the ancient glass processing techniques that have remained unchanged over time for centuries.
These spheres, all different and unique, lead into small imperfections of craftsmanship their and guarantee of authenticity. The individual imperfections become a signature and give preciousness to the element, making them unique and inimitable.
Transparency and decoration are the the result of processing according to ancient techniques , while the different dimensions of the spheres damage movement and lightness to the suspension that pours into the void like a cascade of light in which the luminous elements appear to float in the air.
A scenographic wonderful effect, both when the lights are on and off, without interfere with the natural light that penetrates from the dome skylight which is, indeed, enhanced by the presence of the floating spheres, supported by the suspension threads with an almost immaterial effect.
THE IMPORTANCE OF LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER: PARTICIPATION THAT TRANSLATES INTO UNDERSTANDING, COLLABORATION AND SATISFACTION
We could not have created this impressive pendant light without listening communication.
Our approach to the customer starts from a total availability that goes beyond the standard. Because only through constant communication and the manifestation of doubts and desires is it possible for us to find solutions able to meet customer expectations.
In the specific case linked to the lighting project for Elettra Lamborghini, we have broken down the boundaries of formality in communication and we created a group chat that allowed us to have constant discussion, without time limits or other constraints.
This type of approach, always attentive to the customer's needs , has allowed a work-in-progress in line with the agreed times up to installation of the large suspension chandelier at Elettra's house.
For us at Patrizia Volpato , this is the normal modus operandi: an approach to the customer based on listening which is indispensable to us, especially when faced with complex projects involving multiple elements and lighting fixtures as happens in the case of the hotel industry or the lighting setup for a cruise ship.
We are talking about complex projects whose implementation requires extremely long and in which the unknowns that arise during construction must be resolved within the timescales.
Our propensity to listen and devise solutions that are easily applicable but always technologically advanced is a plus for the customer and a guarantee of result.
Our luminous creations bring Made in Italy lighting to the world, not only through our collections but also and above all, through the numerous custom projects that we create for private, public clients, shipowners and hotel chains.
