W Mariott Hotel - Budapest

The opening of the W Budapest Hotel on 4 July 2023 marks a new chapter in the city's luxury hospitality, with a renovation of the former Dreschsler Palace, a UNESCO heritage site. This palace, which has had multiple uses over the centuries, has been transformed into an elegant luxury hotel. The rebirth of W Budapest was enhanced by lighting by Patrizia Volpato, who created customised installations.

The challenge faced by Patrizia Volpato's team of engineers was to create massive chandeliers made entirely of glass resin to ensure the strength and shapes required by the designers who designed the hotel.

In addition to this, the challenge also concerned the possibility of creating customised lighting scenes according to the festivities that take place during the year. For this reason, the team not only took care of the lighting fixtures, but also of the specially designed and implemented domotics.

The collaboration between the Patrizia Volpato brand, the hotel's design studio, and the W Budapest Hotel has resulted in an exclusive design that enriches the guest experience and defines the hotel's atmosphere, blending tradition, innovation and craftsmanship. Patrizia Volpato's designs are not just decorative objects, but central elements that harmoniously interact with the space, elevating every moment spent in the heart of Budapest.
