The Contract division of Patrizia Volpato, a Venetian company that has been operating for over 20 years
is renowned in the interior lighting sector for its quality and professionalism and has completed its most prestigious creation. Patrizia Volpato took care of the lighting installation of the “Harrods Personal Shopping Area”, the VIP shopping space of the famous Harrods department stores in London.
Under the direction of Chris Dewar Dixon, Managing Director of this section of Harrods, Patrizia Volpato's technicians placed the very precious lighting fixtures: two chandeliers, one cylindrical in shape, the other rectangular in shape, which fit perfectly into a an environment that must be naturally elegant and refined, like any self-respecting British Members' Club, whilst being characterized by an innovative and modern design.
In particular, the composition of the cylindrical suspension is spectacular, designed and delivered in just 60 days: the body of the chandelier is made up of two plexiglas cylinders with a thickness of 8 mm, set into each other. The external cylinder is covered with a special film decorated in a tone that matches the furnishings of the space. Inside the cylindrical body there is a metal structure, painted in the same colour, from which multi-sized steel wires descend.
These threads support the most precious part of the chandelier: the brilliant amber crystals by Swarovski. The result is a light source that pleasantly illuminates the entire room also thanks to a bronzed plexiglas reflector.
The Brompton Road installation received a special mention at The Reds 2005, the traditional British awards that reward the best interior design projects in retail, and the lighting research carried out by Patrizia Volpato played a fundamental part in this success.
